ULM College Courses

ULM is pleased to offer several online courses for college credit through the Dual Enrollment Program for selected students. These dual credit courses will allow students to earn both high school and college credit. Student eligibility is determined by ULM Dual Enrollment Program admission requirements which include:

• Grade level must be 111h grade or above.

• Students must be addressing the Louisiana Core 4 Curriculum.

• A minimum 3.0 g.p.a. is required. A student with a g.p.a. between 2.0 and 2.9 may be eligible with a recommendation from the principal.

• Students must have a minimum ACT composite score of 18. PLAN composite of 18 will also be accepted. • All course prerequisites must be met.

• In order to receive college credit hours a student must complete the course requirements as outlined in the syllabus. The student will receive the grade earned on both high school and college transcripts.

Students must submit an application for admission and all other required forms with a $20 application fee. Tuition/fees for each course is $150, and textbook/software must be purchased. Tuition may be funded by Early Start scholarship funds if they are available and students meet Early Start qualifications.

NOTE: All math mathematics courses require that students be scheduled into a high school mathematics class taught by a certified teacher. The high school teacher will conduct the face-to-face instruction, about 3 days a week. The remainder of the instruction and assessments will be taught online by ULM faculty using Hawkes Learning System. Facilitators for mathematics courses are paid a small stipend.

Other online courses do not require a content facilitator. Students are scheduled into an hour class where they work independently on those online courses.
